Should be a good game.
@Red_Alert how many of Nebraska's NIGHT losses have been in the Big Ten? Ohio State is one. I have seen two night wins at Northwestern. Unless those did not count as they started in the day.
Usually, tickets are easy to get at Purdue.
Good coaching should get a win in this game, bad coaching won't
Total Offense
93. Purdue
Total Defense
75. Purdue
Purdue is playing tough. Purdue has played Louisville, Michigan, and Wisconsin, but played well in every game.
If Riley wants any chance of remaining at Nebraska he needs to start by winning this game.
We have 2 weeks to figure out how our superior talent can top this team.
I just don't believe we will. I have Purdue winning 31-21.
Riley would have to finish 5-0 to keep his job. The hatchet man (who doesn't care what people think about him firing a 'nice guy') has been brought in.
I was listening to Gary Sadlemyer on KFAB yesterday and he said Frost has said 'privately' that he's interested in the Nebraska job. Sadlemyer wasn't specific, but he's been in local radio for 40 years. He knows people and I doubt he'd say that without a highly trusted source.
Rest easy. This latest nightmare is about over.
Rose was saying much of the same. He spoke like he definitely knew what was going on. He says 5-0 would be the only way he keeps his job. I tend to think he would have a shot at keeping it by making a bowl game and beating Penn State.
But again, those guys would have more behind the scenes info than I would.
The stadium emptying at halftime last Saturday was the nail in the coffin. Same happened to HWSNBN against Okie lite on Oct 13 2007 in the Husker's (14-45) loss.
It's over. Riley will be given the 'nice guy' finish the regular season treatment, but it's over.
Does anyone know how the Oregon Ducks are doing this year?
