This thread is for the games that I see on box scores that I think are good. I don't promise to be consistent or continue it throughout the year. I know that what I put down will be ordinary for others like @nuraman00 , especially when he takes into account context, travel, opponents, etc. I don't pay attention to opponents here. Or garbage time. It doesn't have to be historical. And this is only for this year.

WHAT?

I don't take those into account.

Everyone plays 82 games. 41 home, 41 away.

As Larry Bird says, "41 home, 41 away. Dem's the schedule." Simple.

I think it should be 6 steals at a minimum. Not 4.

Curry averaged more than 4 made 3's last year.

Minimum should be 7.

For blocks, minimum should be 6.

I think I will compromise. I will note 5 or more for both box and steals. :)

Well, it depends on what you define as "notable." I feel if you were talking about all time, you do take into account the opponent, etc. But I think if I am doing an accumulative record of games, then maybe it doesn't matter.

If I could watch every game, I would have no life. But if I could watch every game, then maybe I would know what games are better than others based upon garbage time, opponents defense, etc. But there's a good chance that one of us knows something about one of the games that the other doesn't.

F' It. Too much work. No payoff.

I'll keep this thread open so if you see something crazy, post it here.

That's more reasonable. The reason why 4 is too low is because for players that average more than 2 blocks or 2 steals a game, they will hit 4 every few games.

So that's why let's have high limits, so you don't have to update this thread too often.

You can also use basketball-reference.com's search tools to make it easier.

For example, here are all of the games this year where someone had 7 or more steals:

http://bkref.com/tiny/9M8NY

Yes, it says there's no results.

So maybe once a month or something, you can check to see if there's more games with these high criteria.

My definition of high would be:

Steals: 7
Blocks: 7
3-pointers: 8
Assists: 17
3-point shooting: 80%
Poor 3-point shooting: 7% or less, minimum 10 attempts

FG%: 88%
Poor FG%: Less than 9%, minimum 12 attempts
Turnovers: 0, minimum 31 minutes
Poor Turnovers: 8+
+/-: + 37, - 37.
