I know it makes no sense whatsoever, but I just can't shake the idea that a guy with this name can never be a leader of men or champion. Sometimes a name means something, I don't know.
Big deal that's probably gonna get lost in all the free agency news. Moving to the front bench is a big step to becoming a head coach
And people have said Lebron is a coach killer.
I think Luke will be on a short leash.....if they start slow.....I wouldn't be surprised if he is canned.
Never been a huge fan of his as a head coach.
Disagree. I think the Lakers expect to struggle early. In fact, Magic even said as much himself and referenced the slow start that the Heat got off to in Lebron's first season there.
Sure. I saw that also but things can change quickly once the season starts and shit goes down.
Not sure why. I think he's done a great job. He made some young coach mistakes, but overall he's done a great job.
One of the things Lebron has been said to have been impressed with is how the Lakers all "play for each other."
That's exactly the way the Warriors do it and that tone is set by the head coach.
The Lakers have been patient thus far and they know they are going to have to be patient for one more season. I'll be surprised if they panic over a slow start that they're expecting to happen.
Something else to consider is...who is out there who's both better and available?
Firing a coach is fine, but you have to have someone who's better to replace them. Otherwise, you become the Bucks (or hell, the Lakers for the past 5 or so years) and replacing your head coach every other season.
You must be basing that off of the amazing job he did in Denver.
2 years is hardly an adequate sample size.
I agree. It's definitely not adequate enough to fire Luke and hire him.
Shaw has won more games than Luke has in a single season so there's that.
And many didn't think Shaw should have been fired.
Separate names with a comma.
