Lakers lose big to the Suns. The score: 103-81 in Phoenix.

Who wants to tell him that the NBA has always allowed things to be more physical in the playoffs?

He shouldn't be saying anything. He had a front row seat to the mugging Marcus Smart did. He got away with just about everything. One of my all time favorite Celtics.

That's actually easy. Have always said Magic is one of my all time favorites, that will never change.

Bet you weren't expecting that.

Actually, I knew that. Most Lakers fans, myself included, feel the same way about Bird.

Yep, thunderc. And they won in a big way like they picked-up where they left off from last Season. Granted it is only the PreSeason but the Thunder are looking dominant, AGAIN!

End of the First Quarter, the Lakers are down by 1 with the Dubs.

Probably hoping for one last big pay day before retiring. If he says he'll retire a Laker next year and get a farewell tour, they'll probably throw every spare dime they have at him.

Provided his game doesn't disintegrate this year, of course they will. Not only is he still all star level at 41, he's a money making machine for the franchise. He is worth every penny to the bottom line and a lot more.

His game depends on others drawing defense to give him open shots. There was exactly one Laker this weekend (and only in game 1) that could draw the defense at all (Reeves). With no Lebron, Luka (or even Reeves on Sunday), there are far fewer open looks or lanes to the basket. Same deal in Vegas this summer; nobody on that roster could create those shots for him. For better or worse, that is what he is.

I appreciate Bird's talent, but f him. The only Celtics I like are the ones that defect and become productive Lakers. Rick Fox comes to mind.

Plenty of other dependent shooters can still ball out against lesser competition like in SL, especially for a 2nd year player. Kid has been complete ass for 6 months now.
