It is that time of the year for the Kick-Off of the NBA 2025-2026 Season. The Preseason officially starts October 3, 2025 with two games on Friday: Sixers-Knicks and the Suns-Lakers. Here we go yet again on another Season of the NBA to see if the Thunder repeat or get replaced by a new Champion.

Here we go with a Preseason game on Friday between the Lakers and the Suns as well as the Sixers-Knicks. Best damn time of the year with all four major sports in operation. NFL is moving along, NHL is their Preseason, MLB is in their First Round of playoffs, and now the NBA joins up. I love this time of the year!!

Maybe Paul is initiating this action to get the Lakers to bend to his demand or to move James to a team that he chooses to win said championship.

Rich Paul needs to stfu and stop being a dumbass. What contending team is going to be able to give up what they'd have to give up to get him and still be a contender?

At this point, it seems that Lebron's best option would be to play out this season and see if he can sign with a contender (possibly even the Lakers) for less next year.

I agree, TJF12. Paul has always been an egomanical douche and he is proving it once again. It just sends chaos and discord throughout the Camp experience. I don't know how this will play out but like you said, Paul needs to stfu!

Yeah, about the only team that I can think of that could give up what it would take to get Lebron and still be considered a contender is OKC because of their depth...but they'd be weakened.

A big nothingburger. Lebron is old, will take it slow in the preseason. I like the pieces they've added this year, should be deeper and better balanced around their big 2-3 (depending on your view of Reeves).

Paul providing ineffectual lip service for his client (and to hear himself talk basically).

Which is why Rich Paul needs to stfu. Lebron, rightfully, took his full max which severely hampered the Lakers ability to make other moves. If it's about him wanting to play for a contender...maybe do like Tom Brady and take less so the team can afford to bring in more help...or, go sign with someone else and let the Lakers used the cap space to build around Luka.

You don't get to take that contract and then cry about wanting to be on a contender...which, by the way, the Lakers are. Not favorites, but you can't count them out either.

I totally agree TJF12. I could not have stated it better myself, but of course that is the status quo for sure!!

and if that was what he wanted so badly advise him not to pick up that option for this season.

Probably hoping for one last big pay day before retiring. If he says he'll retire a Laker next year and get a farewell tour, they'll probably throw every spare dime they have at him.
