i've coveted horton for years now. i really wonder who the bruin is. it's gonna have to be a rather big name, no? for horton+?
I don't know. NHL Live is saying it might be Dennis Wideman which seems pretty lopsided against Florida.
whhhhhhat?? horton is an extremely talented winger! holy smokes. was it a salary dump? i thought they were moving him to try to rebuild with picks and whatnot.
jesus christ Boston is loading up.
Do you have a link?

i think the real target here was gregory campbell.. now when they retaliate against matt cooke, colin campbell cant be the one in charge of the discipline
those sneaky fuckers
This is just the first of many moves for the Panthers.
Horton told Tallon he wanted out. Basically, Tallon's moving everyone who doesn't want to be here.
Wideman = proven offensive defenseman. right handed shot. important considering all the Panthers D men had left handed shots last year, making them look retarded on powerplays.
The 15th pick of the draft gives Tallon lots of options. He can use it to draft a player, or use it to make a legit trade.
The Panthers now have the 3rd, 15th, 33rd, 36th, and 50th picks of the upcoming draft. They also added a 3rd round pick in this deal, not sure what slot it is.
Anyway, I bet a couple of those picks get traded. One or two of our D men are getting traded too because the team is full of offensive D men/defensive liabilities. Tallon has said he wants some stay at home D men already, too.
Considering Chicago has cap issues, and Tallon is Chicago's former GM, I fully expect some of these picks to go to Chicago for one or two NHL ready players who can contribute.
it's bahston's 3rd rounder in 2011, btw.
