overall...mariners are a good team...even with all the distrations

i expect them to bring up guy's they are looking at....not really trade bait...

voggy ,beckham....and some pitching of coarse

really at this point.......they need that utility SS/outfeild guy...who can hit

and one more starter.......that is not a lot...but there starting depth did evaparate somewhat

like bergman...if he was going to make it...should he have done it by now

the best hopes at starting pitching depth is povse and whalen...and maybe McCoughan if he can make it up that far


the offseason will tell.........if they can fill those holes .......or not

joey curletta..1B arkansas...out of Hs he is at the end of six years....and is a AA all star

ian miller...LF tacoma..it is ok to have six outfield guys on the 40 man...ian was doing better than now most of the year

jordy mercer pitsburgh...6-3 ss...i would not have a prob putting him at 3b,1b,2b..or ss...as a utility guy
pitt will prob not resign..with..frazier and kevin newman...and kevin kramer right behind them at..AAA

while freddy galvis and jose iglesias would be more of every day ss

jordy would seem to fit a utility role a bit more

former mariners outfielder pat kivlehan (round4 2012)after being up at mlb last year with cinncinati....is at mets AAA

third in...... slg...... in the pacific coast league with 19 HR and a 312 ave

dan vogelbach leads the league in obp third in ops with a 290 ave and 20 HR's

overall...mariners are a good team...

I've been one of the more optimistic ones here but you lost me here... How are they a good team? They hadn't scored many runs prior to the All Star break either... Edwin Diaz basically carried us that first half with all the 1 run (low scoring) games...

Our offense needs a face lift - just like our pitching staff does... I don't see us a few players away from being really good... Cruz and Cano are getting old... We continue to lose Cruz for games here and there due to tight hamstrings (sign of old age)… It's not going to get easier for him... We need to get a new starting Catcher, too... Zunino just kills us at the plate on all occasions... Time we trade him or keep him as a backup...
