With the Draft Lottery tomorrow night I thought this would be a good time to post this… once the order is set I'll do a way-too-early mock draft.

Lottery
1. Ben Simmons
2. Brandon Ingram
3. Kris Dunn
4. Dragan Bender
5. Jamal Murray
6. Buddy Hield
7. Jaylen Brown
8. Jakob Poeltl
9. Henry Ellinson
10. Denzel Valentine
11. Deyonta Davis
12. Timothe Luwawu
13. Domantas Sabonis
14. Marquese Chriss
-------------------------
Just outside the lottery (the PG's could get selected sooner due to team need and lack of PG's in this draft)

15. Wade Baldwin
16. Demetrius Jackson
17. Brice Johnson

I like it.

I'm not sold on Bender.

I haven't seen enough of him.

Maybe he will be the Porzingis of this draft.

If I am picking, I'm taking Buddy over Murray.

But, it could go either way.

Thank you for not listing Skal.

Dude is Austin Days 2.0....

I want my Clippers to pick Bembry and Payton II.....

Murray is a star. Hield over him wouldn't be flynn over Curry. But it could potentially be devastating.

I disagree.

It will depend on the Team thats taking him.

If I'm a young Team like say......Denver or even Philly, maybe you go with Murray because he's only 19 and you have time to develop him.

But, if you are the Celtics or Toronto?

Buddy.

He's ready NOW.

Minny could go either way. But, I would love for them to take Dunn or Buddy.

I might light myself on fire if they take Buddy over Murray. Really don't want Dunn unless Murray is gone either. Guy is simply an all around better play than Hield and 3 years younger.

Honestly the only issue would be trying to develop him Lavine and Wiggins around Towns with 1 ball.

Murray averaging three 3's per game as a freshman at a great percentage (40%) makes him REALLY intriguing. If PHX didn't already have 10240430 guards I'd be all over him. I think he's got star potential.

Buddy is shooting 45%.

You could be right.

I have been digging on Buddy all Season.

So, he's my guy.

I like Dunn...But, only if you trade Rubio...

But, why do that with his reasonable contract if you don't have too?

Plus, you have Tyus Jones.

Yeah, you need to thin the herd.

Brandon Knight may need to go.

There ain't no putting the Booker genie back in the bottle.

Oh, people are still high up on Simmons?

This is a weak draft class and he's the most talented prospect hands down.

People are making too big of a deal about his team's bad season. You draft players based on their individual skill set and potential. Ingram & Simmons are number 1 & 2 without a doubt. The order is TBD, as whoever wins the lottery will impact that.

Basketball is the one sport where one great player can dramatically change and carry a team.

I was not impressed with how Simmons could not even get LSU to the NIT tournament in a weak SEC this year.

Ben Simmons & Kris Dunn. The only two players that intrigued me. This is a pretty weak group this year.

Not true at all. If you have bad coaching, inexperienced players and you are a freshman in college ball you absolutely cannot carry your team by yourself. Simmons has a rare skill set, you'd be foolish to think he isn't a top 2 pick. He did almost everything he could.

Some idiots (not you, just in general) over-think things way too much and that's when mistakes are made.

Simmons game needs some work.

But, he reminds me of the Greek Freak, minus the pterodactyl arms.

Neither can shoot for shit. But, both can run the floor, run the offense, hit the boards hard.

If we had that draft to do over, I'm pretty sure Giannis would go #1.

Sometimes you have to roll the dice on potential.....

With that being said, any Team that takes him over Ingram could be risking a Oden over Durant scenario if Ben doesn't pan out.

* minus the injury of course*

i doubt you have to worry about Murray being there at 5. I just hope they don't take Ellinson.

I saw earlier someone suggest Lavine, Dieng and the 5 for Jimmy Butler, that seems like a lot to give up. Wolves would have the best defensive backcourt in the league though.

I heard the Celts were asked to give up #3 along with Bradley and Crowder. So I'm thinking it would be Wiggins or bust and that just can't happen

Murray is doubtful to go to Suns but could go to Boston. I want him bad, I'd probably warm up to Dunn but would be disappointed taking him over Murray.

Have you guys seen the Chinese kid?

I snickered when I saw him at the end of some 1st round mocks.

But, he looks good playing 1on none...lol

DraftExpress: Zhou Qi 2016 NBA Pre-Draft Workout

I would love for him to fall to #32. Highly doubt that happens though. He has nice looking skillset, but needs to add some weight.

Hopefully one of Qi, Maker, or Hammons is there for the Lakers pick.
