Looks like Daniel Jones is your quarterback for the foreseeable future.

They don’t have much in the way of alternatives, unfortunately. They’re much better suited tanking next year to get a top pick in 2023.

When throwing the ball Jones is as good as most NFL QBs. When holding the ball in his hand Jones likes to place the ball on the ground and let the other team pick it up.
I disagree about the 1st part. He stares down receivers and is late making decisions.

I keep thinking back to the different era's I've watched football and try to apply today's standards with regards to QB tiers and fan rankings of QB play throughout the league. I don't remember anytime where the great/very good/winning/tier1/tier 2 type QB's were even 40% of the league.

If he can get coached up, reduce the turnovers, receive more protection, hand the ball to a reliable RB who can stay healthy, and win then I'm good with him. I know that's a lot of 'ifs', but shit, it has to get better. They've hired the GM and now let's see who they hire as head coach. I'm optimistic. :hope:

Think hes just talking about arm talent.
Dan Jones has arm talent in abundance. He has sound mechanics, great range, great zip on the ball, and he puts the ball exactly where he wants it. He's also especially mobile and he has the speed to score a rushing TD from anywhere. Phenomenal athlete.

Just not a QB, because he's a slow processor and he stares down his target.

Thst pretty much sums it up and is why the most important thing in a QBs arsenal is between the ears.

It would have been nice if DJ had even an average offensive line... ever.

A bad O-line has to screw with development and potential-reaching... sucks.

I think keeping Jones is a wise move. He is a talented QB who is worth another shot with a new coach. They have never put a remotely competent offensive line in front of him. I also think they spent free agent and draft capital on trash receivers. He hasn't had much of a chance.
