After laying an egg to Toronto/Texas, this team showed some resilience w/out hanging their heads w/ a 4 game sweep against the Astro's on the road... Changing the batting order has created a spark much needed for this team... Will it work for ever? Who knows but at least it's prove to work out so far...

Team has set themselves up nicely against the A's... Great opportunity to steal it right back from Oakland...

Great to see the coaches make some moves of late for the better of the team... Moving Gordon to the 9 spot and Felix to the pen were two moves that were necessary...

Mariners have a record of 6-3 against the A's so far this season... Hope they can continue on w/ that trend...

one more thing is that after .. the mariners play oakland ..they play the dodgers

meanwhile ...houston plays the rockies..two games

and oakland and houston play each other..after the mariners play oakland

good time for a run if they can do it

or cuz they have to many guys on the 40 man then they will have to put someone on the sixty day..or something

i think they will try to avoid dfa ing romine...unless there is a trade or somthing

What to do about Healy? He will definitely be the odd man out when Cano replaces him at 1B.

For the most part Healy's bat has been sucking-but can't bitch to much at the moment because he got the bomb that made it happen today. :noidea:

healy 1b/3b..hitting 239 with 22 Hr's...that is what they want him to do....they would like it if he had a 270 ave....yeah but he is 25 yo.. .plus now he will play some 3b as well
seager is hitting 227...about the same

as cano will..then segura at ss with gordon as the backup would work..

2 months overdue but yeah that better be the move.

As for where Cano plays? Neither Healy, Dee or Seagar has performed well enough to justify not losing playing time. Cano's bat needs to be in the lineup everyday and figure out the rest.

I’m not gonna get to excited, this team has been Jekyll and Hyde lately... I hope they continue playing well, but I’m not counting on it .... hopefully down the stretch they at least make it interesting and give themselves a chance ...

Its gonna have to come from the offense. I think this rotation has reasonably given you as much as it can. And sadly even with a bunch a bullpen moves that group is mediocre at best. You saw what happened when Colome wasn't available in the 8th yesterday. Today its gonna be the same thing without Diaz and Colome likely being saved for the closing chance. I cant believe this pen still needs another arm but it does.:L

The pen wouldn't need another arm if the arms we had performed somewhat consistently in a good way. One day lights out, next day-shouldn't even be on the hill. How do you manage a mess?? You don't. It's like a "poke and hope" situation, which could very well end up screwing us in the end.

I was checking the splits to see if maybe some sort of platoon would make sense at 3B, but the difference is minimal and I believe Seager provides more value defensively at 3B than Healy.

I've been a fan of Healy and still have hope for him, that's why I wish there was some way of keeping him in the lineup or trading him for something of value. After coming off the DL he hit all 22 of his HRs over the course of 94 games. That's 38 HRs when you distribute it over a 162 game schedule. His OBP is abysmal and his average over that period (.248) is mediocre, but he still does offer a substantial threat to go deep whenever he's at the plate.

He still does have room to improve IMO.
