Manship is designated, Rupp sent down. Ruiz is back and Aumont gets called up. Aumont is the guy who strikes out a batter in every inning and walks a guy in every inning. If he ever learns control he would be a great 7th inning guy.

Great, they bring back concussion boy and send Rupp down instead of the older Koyie dude. I guess Nieves is the only other catcher. Except Rupp's hitting slump, his arm was useful but I guess Nieves is better at hitting. Aumont is meh and Manship gave up a boatload of hits last night. No worse than KK.

Maybe it's good we have Carlos back. I was getting ready to calculate a player month lost cause tally.

Hill has been released. So it's Ruiz and Nieves once again.

Rup is not in a slump...he just can't hit. Remember he was hitting a buck sixty at AAA before his callup. Anyway, he was never projected as a starter.

So you think Ruf is a dud and all that hitting in triple A is meaningless? There's no hope and possibly the same for Franco?

jvett, I think Westcoast was referring to Rupp, the catcher not Ruf who appears to be a better hitter than Ruf.

Thanks Retro for straightening out jvett. Yes Ruf is a much better hitter than Rupp...I'm still not sure if Ruf is an everyday player...but he is a major leaguer...Catcher Rupp may need to take a step back to Reading.

Well that is where they sent him to work on his hitting. And you are welcome. I was still impressed with Rupp's arm and his command of the defense and game management though. He is a keeper and a player the Phillies could easily fix and build with go forward.

Ten-to-one you know who will trade the guy in some dumbass package and the problem will continue of draining our farm system dry of promising players by always trading them away just when they are close to be a good player long-term.

Interest in Cliff Lee by the Yankees continues to gain strength. Moving that contract would be a boost to us but I am not sure Boobens will utilize the boost correctly to help us in the long-run.

Yeah, thanks for straightening me out. And I do like both Rup and Ruf.
