Pretty cool roof. Stadiums are getting to be ridiculously elaborate. That is why it was surprising to see what kind of stadium they are pitching in St. Louis. That one is pretty boring.

only reason atlanta has a dome is for superbowls.....that was the one complaint about moving into the ga dome so now they get both with the retractable oculus

I've driven thru Atlanta dozens of times, but Im too afraid to get off the highway downtown. What's wrong with The Georgia Dome? What's wrong with Turner Field? They just like building disposable stadiums down there?

I dunno I love open air stadiums for football. Just the look seems better to me. The retractable roof seems to work a bit better in baseball where play can get stopped for what the NFL would call very minor rain delays, but meh.

Does Georgia even get that crazy of weather (know very little about the south other than the hurricanes that New Orleans and such can get)? Supposed to be 57 degrees and partly cloudy this Sunday for example.

Dome is for superbowls and conventions. Turner field was a bad lease in a a sketchy area. They can make more.money building in Cobb and making a new entertainment complex adjacent to it.
