Right now the Mtn West Conference already has seven teams that are bowl eligible. But there very well could be an eighth team who can be bowl eligible in the next two weeks. These are the 7 currently bowl eligible MWC football teams:
Boise State - 9-1 overall and 6-0 in MWC
Air Force - 8-2 overall and 5-1 in MWC (loss to Boise State)
San Diego State - 8-2 overall and 5-2 in MWC (losses to Utah State & Nevada)
Hawaii - 7-4 overall and 4-3 in MWC (losses to Boise State, Air Force & Fresno State)
Utah State - 6-4 overall and 5-1 in MWC (loss to Air Force)
Wyoming - 6-4 overall and 3-3 in MWC (losses to San Diego State, Boise State & Utah State)
Nevada - 6-4 overall and 3-3 in MWC (losses to Hawaii, Utah State & Wyoming)
There are three MWC teams that COULD become bowl eligible in the next ten days:
San Jose State - 4-6 overall plays AT U.N.L.V. this weekend & finishes at home vs. Fresno State
Fresno State - 4-6 overall plays at home vs. Nevada & finishes AT San Jose State
Colorado State - 4-6 overall plays AT Wyoming & finishes at home vs. Boise State
If one of these three teams wins their last two regular season games in the next two weekends they will become the 8th MWC bowl eligible team this season. Personally I think San Jose State has the best chance of doing that.
Boise State - 9-1 overall and 6-0 in MWC
