Morse of Course

The Jack Clark swing

Launching baseballs off the screen

Where did he come from

Is it a world far from here

A man with no fear

Makes me smile in my beer :suds:

A leader of the pack

Wears a gladiator mask

A MASH Brother

A beastly swing

A mighty force

It's Morse of Course

Dedicated to Michael Morse SF Giants 2014

The funniest part about how that scene ends is that it was totally unscripted. A couple of years back I listened to an interview with the director (I had gotten my hands on a "20th anniv" DVD, I think). He was going on and on about how amazing it was to work with Belushi. He called him a comedic genius, and how he "improved" during many of the scenes, and those scenes were better than the ones written for the movie. The above was a perfect example of one of those "improv" scenes. Belushi was just supposed to walk down the stairs in that scene. They had already done multiple takes of the scene, and they were re-shooting it again, and Belushi was just getting tired of it, and so he did what he did and then finished the scene as scripted (walking down the stairs). The director said Belushi's improv genius showed in this scene by his adding the simple, one-word "Sorry" and the face after doing his unscripted routine with the guitar.

Good story. Just saw a Bill Murray interview from 25 or so years ago about Ghostbusters. He said most of the scenes were them having fun - when they had to say certain lines or do scripted things, it was "work". He also talked about the SNL days, and likened Belushi to Babe Ruth and his huge appetites.

The guitar player is Stephen Bishop in a cameo, even though it looks like Mandy Patinkin.
