Some serious whiny excuses coming from SEC country lately.
This excuse makes no sense unless the game was played literally a week after the SEC title game.

Teams get over a month off to prepare for the playoffs.
How freaking tired are they sitting around for the entire month of december??

Apparently the SEC West is so worn out most of the teams can't win their bowl games.

It's the reason why people discredit teams like Boise St just because they win a single good game all year long. There is a difference between playing a single good team and playing 7-8 top 50 teams every year. You have to have good team depth to compete in tougher conferences.

And perhaps the next time a non-P5 team makes the CFP, that will be relevant. as it is, the schedule strengths of the four teams that made it last year were very similar top to bottom.

I don't get the objection to Malzahn's comments. Should be common knowledge that playing an SEC schedule is more challenging than playing a schedule in any other conference.
