More high-scoring games?

I was thinking that we are seeing a lot more high-scoring games than usual, but I have no idea if this is true.

We have seen nine games with 8+ goals so far, which is 29% (9/31) of the games....seems like a lot.

Actually the love has been spread, which is surprising:

Pens Sens: 5-4, 7-4

Flyers-Devs: 5-3

Wings-Yotes: 7-4

Avs-Sharks: 6-5

Caps-Habs: 6-5, 6-3

Bruins Sabres: 5-3

Canucks-Kings: 5-3, 6-4

And looks like I forgot to count tonights Nucks-Kings, so that is actually 10/31 or 32%
