maybe a thread to keep track of the latest mock drafts and debate about who we could draft instead or won't be able to grab and so on.

Draft #1

walterfootball:
2015 NFL Mock Draft - WalterFootball.com

Bengals picks:
r1: Cincinnati Bengals: Eli Harold, DE/OLB, Virginia
The Bengals' pass rush was inconsistent this past year, as the team has missed Michael Johnson's presence. Perhaps they'll spend their first-round pick on a defensive end.

r2: Cincinnati Bengals: Carl Davis, DT, Iowa
Domata Peko has not played well this year, so the Bengals may want to consider finding some help for the interior of their defensive line.

r3: Cincinnati Bengals: Sean Hickey, OT/G, Syracuse
The Bengals will be interested in a left tackle prospect in the first couple of rounds. Andrew Whitworth, a 33-year-old entering his contract season, can be moved inside to guard to fill a need there.

....

downside: Marvin Lewis has insisted in years past that the Bengals will no longer draft based on need, but based on best player available. yea, right, ok sure Marv.

not sure about another hybrid de/olb

updside: filling positions of low depth,

I'll be disapointed if we don't land a high upside guy, a diamond in the rough, or a high motor guy...I mean, that's the staple of any successful draft!

one of you younger whippersnappers can put orange and black flowers on my grave when the Bengals do anything constructive.

I guess one of them can hold the ball on the tee on a really windy day.

I'm sure one of them can be a fullback or a slot receiver when we run out of healthy bodies in December.

I'm preparing for the inevitable CB pick in the 1st round. With Dre Kirkpatrick likely to start next season, his spot on the punt coverage unit is a hole that needs to be filled. You can only get premium special teams stars in the 1st round after all. Just look at Darqueze Dennard. Thank God we got him when we did.

I'm scared that this is the year that we reach for an undersized pass-rusher. It's been a while.

Ahh the classic "project" player routine. You know, cause it makes total sense to take a player who doesn't fit our scheme and force him to play a position he isn't best suited for. Btw how's that whole Margus Hunt experiment working out so far?
