This one has been on my radar. I figured I would let at least a few more episodes bank up before I jump in. I can’t imagine it not being great. Pretty much everything Hardy touches turns to gold. That guy is amazing.

Disappointed with episode 9. Way too much Kevin and Bushby. The ending was silly. I suspect there will be too many unanswered questions at the end of next week's season final episode.

But here's my big complaint over an apparent logical inconsistency, as follows.

We know Maeve doesn't accept Sarafina as part of the family, as she is Conrad's daughter by a different woman. Maeve has consistently favored the children she has gaven birth to, Brendan and Kevin. She also dotes over Eddie, her grandson. Or is he? Every indication is that Conrad is Eddie's father via Bela. Which would result in Eddie not being part of Maeve's bloodline. He'd be the same as Sarafina, both bastards. So why does Maeve have favor for Eddie and not Sarafina?

My 2cents...

With the amount of character arc building they are investing into Kevin, I get the sense that he is going to get a lot more screen time... Likely to replace Conrad sooner rather than later. All signs seem to indicate Conrad is leading his own demise, but Maeve also seems to be playing a part in pushing him out. Maybe he just takes over for the foreseeable future while Conrad deals with legal issues/prison time.

Maeve has been a catalyst to just about everything in this season. I don't think she favors Eddie at all, but merely is using him as her primary tool to hide behind. The last episode where Eddie was talking to the dogs & eventually spilling the beans about Maeve's betrayal to Conrad indicates he's waking up to Maeve's BS.

I'm trying to figure out who the rat is...........................

Spoiler: My Theory

My working theory is I think its Harry.

He is secretly setting the stage to get out even though we don't see it, and even though he swears his loyalty to the family every chance he gets. He sees the demise of the Harrigan family & is trying to get out of harms way. Also, wants to focus more on his own family. His wife has questioned his priorities towards the Harrigans vs his own family. I don't think that sat well with him but he has no choice because the Harrigans would kill him if they sensed he turned on them. Archie senses he wants out & has mentioned it many times. I also think there is more to why he killed the snitch Freddie he was blackmailing, and his mysterious background with Kat.

He setup the meeting at the docks with the lawyer kinda out of the blue after the mexican (name?) agreed to do business with the Harrigans if he "took care of the rat"... Thinkin he is going to kill the lawyer & make it look like she was the rat. Can secure his allegiance to the Harrigans this way before blindsiding them when he turns on them.
