Any thoughts on the Seattle/ 49er game. ? I’m just wondering how I would really feel if Dallas was in the 49ers shoes. I know you play to win but the smart play there may have been to run the clock out. Honestly I think that’s basically what Carrol and the Hawks did. 4rth and 3 with 1:50 left and no timeouts. They chose to punt it. I don’t think they expected to get the ball back with 1:20. I just know. 8-0-1 and 7-2-1 is a lot better shape than 8-1 and 8-2.

choosing to punt with that time left, is 100% different from taking a knee to keep the other team from getting it. it's a total bitch move. it says "i'm scared you guys are gonna score and win the game, and i'm going to dishonor this game for the ages that we've been playing for the last 3 and a half hours by pussing out at the last second instead of leaving it all out on the field".

if you're punting, you're just playing football.

I didn’t say take a knee. Jimmy G was shaky the whole 4rth and OT. His WRs were dropping passes when he did make a good throw. A bomb on 3rd and 10 though?? Not a real high percentage play. Giving it to RW 3 times n OT - not a real high % of winning either.

the 49ers will be fine. they went for it on a particular play, one of MANY plays in that game, didn't work. they'll move on and be better for it.
