Football is dying
the emmy's , really ?Football isn't dying.
Tons of people no longer have ESPN which drives down the ratings.
The Sunday night ratings blew away the ratings from week 2 last year.
They were up against the Emmy's.
The match up was 2 teams no one expects to do much this year.
Football has over reached. Monday night used to be a big deal, now you can watch 12 hours of football on a Sunday so unless there's a meaningful match up Monday night will suffer.

the product is hard to watch now .
ratings for those shows have been going down for yearsThose awards shows get a lot of viewers for reasons I can't explain. I wouldn't watch them at gun point but....
Yeah, the reduction of practice time and some of the idiotic rules have made the game harder to watch. Especially early in the season. But, networks keep paying more and more for the product despite the ratings so I don't see the sport dying anytime soon
