Teoscar Hernandez to the Mariners for Erik Swanson and Adam Macko.

Hernandez is under "team control" this season but somehow he made over 10 million last season.

A+ for Seattle. Nothing you can say negative about it from the Mariners side. The Blue Jays hampered themselves with the whole Canadien pride shit with wanting Macko. Swanson was a top 3 reliever last year and Macko with either be a lefty Pedro with his small frame then become a reliever of the Jays could just turn him in an 8th inning guy in mix 2023.

they could still use another OF/DH type. Hard to justify giving Kelenic at bats right now when you're trying to compete. Kyle Lewis can't stay healthy and Trammell has had contact issues, though at least he looked better this year.

Judge and Goldschmidt got MVPs. Seems about right.

Can't really argue with the RoY/MoY/CYA/MVP selections this year. I would have went Hyde/Snitker for MoY, but Francona/Showalter were good candidates.

Figured that, but it just makes them look stupid, and should be stripped of their votes.
Eh, Ohtani deserves some consideration still, what he's doing can't be understated. But it's just that Judge won big.

Voting Judge #1 and Ohtani #2 is all the consideration Ohtani should receive this year. I'm in no way a Judge or Yankees fans, but there's times when you just have to give credit where it's due.
Maybe I'd ubserstand if there was a Yankees/Angles rivalry, but there is none. Those two should never vote again. Hell if I had a vote going forward I'd never vote for Ohtani just because of those two clueless fucktards.

The Twins made a couple of moves today -- Gio Urshela to the Angels for a minor league pitcher, Alejandro Hidalgo and Casey Legumina to the Reds for Kyle Farmer.

why are we getting bent out of shape over him getting two first place votes when the final tally was 28-2? at the end of the day, those votes didn't matter at all. for comparison, look at the Pedro Martinez/George King situation. King leaving Pedro off the ballot actually cost him the AL MVP. Also, King voted for Rick Helling and David Wells on his MVP ballot the year prior.

I would have left Judge off the ballot completely. You don't like that? Fuck you, I survived Katrina!

Good move by the Angels. Several people suggested that the Twins could trade for him and settle their outfield situation.
