Yea I think the combo drafts are fun but you're almost better to tank one completely in lieu of the other

That’s why I wanted to do rankings. No point in doing a two team sport draft if you are just tanking one

Rankings suck imo. You had 8 teams you could have very simply run a tourney where the losers play the losers and you end up with 1-8 in both sports. Simplest and most fun way to do it we do it all the time. Just don’t ask me what to do when it’s not 8 teams lol.

In a normal draft I completely agree but we were building two teams from two different sports. You can easily throw one sport to build the best team in another sport

Yea but both are factored together.

Give the winner of a sport 8 points the last place team 0.

So if they tank they get 8, they'd be beaten by any team that finished at least 4th and 3rd.

Exactly my point. That's why I vouch for rankings on two or three sport drafts

correct. The points are cumulative. Goal is to have the lowest score possible for both sports. If you finish 1st in one sport, and 5th in the other, you finish with 6 pts. If someone else has 6 pts as well, you use the highest finish in either sport as a tie breaker.
