I read that ex-Pirates pitcher Steven Brault is announcing some for the Pirates now. He pitched for Regis here in Denver. I attend a few Regis games each year. Brault is also a pro singer.

Braves put up double digit runs again, winning 12-1. Won 5 of our last 6 series, nice.

This 19 games in 18 days odyssey is wreaking havoc on the lineups from day to day. I don't recall the same lineup 2 days in a row for at least a week.

Who the hell made the MLB schedule? Even without the doubleheader no team should be playing 18 days in a row

There was a make up double header last Monday with the Cubs which nixed that day off. Even if it was played out without that it would've been 14 straight it 14 days. It gets even dumber when you factor in they play the Phillies at home Monday, then have Tuesday off and then play the Phillies on Wed/Thurs to complete the series. I guess that has something to do with Labor Day games, what exactly that is, would be way above my pay grade.

As an aside, the Cubs refused to schedule the make-up game any other time, so there was some gamesmanship on their part.
