IMO Vegas is going to be just as bad as Tampa in terms of fan support. They don’t support the Raiders which they wanted so how are they going to support a team no one wanted. Florida is just bad for baseball. Other cities, ownership being cheap is why fan bases dont show up.

Florida is great for baseball. In February and March.

It is great for the WBC but hasn’t for MLB. Maybe Orlando is better but Miami and Tampa aren’t. Could be the owners, who knows though

Orlando also has Theme Parks and so on. At least Miami,Tampa Bay teams have won championships.

Kind of a shame that Louisville doesn’t have a team. Not sure if they have a big enough fanbase but just the imagery would be worth it.

You mean Stu Sternberg and (formerly) Jeffrey Loria aren't ideal owners?

But is it really them or is it the fan bases or maybe both? You can blame owners but if they don’t have revenue cause there is no support for the team is it really just the owners fault? It’s why I’m skeptical of the new owner keeping the team there. But I’m also highly skeptical of Fisher taking the A’s to Vegas cause I think Vegas will be worse than Tampa

So if MLB re-aligns and expands, do you honestly believe that will put more butts in the seats and make more money for the teams than they are making individually now?

If the answer is no, then stop trying to fix this in every damn league.

Here's my plan (probably best to wait until the 2030s for reasons mentioned above):

AL East - Orioles, Red Sox, Yankees, Blue Jays
AL North - White Sox, Guardians, Tigers, Twins
AL South - Astros, Royals, Nashville (new), Rangers
AL West - Rockies, Athletics, Angels, Mariners

NL East - Mets, Phillies, Pirates, Nationals
NL North - Cubs, Reds, Brewers, Cardinals
NL South - Braves, Carolina (new), Marlins, Rays
NL West - D-backs, Dodgers, Padres, Giants

MLB should consider a much greater presence in the Southeast; there are currently no teams within 400 miles of Atlanta. For the Carolina team I'd prefer Raleigh to Charlotte given that the latter has NFL and NBA teams already, but they're both large enough to support a franchise and have some decent minor-league history. If another Western team is needed, Portland would fit nicely with the AL West and Colorado isn't too far from the other AL South teams.

Schedule - 14 intradivision games (42 total), 6 intraleague games (72 total), 3 interleague games (48 total)
Playoffs - 4 division winners per league (top 2 receive byes), 2 wild cards; first round 3-vs-6 and 4-vs-5
