Cano is a better hitter, no question. But Cano cares more about money than winning. I remember when Pedroia was down with the leg injury, the guy was on the field, on his knees, taking hot shots so he wouldn't be rusty when he returned. Winning player my friend, and like Jeter, as clutch as they come. Nobody confuses Cano or A-Rod with clutch in the playoffs

Cano plays every game ever season. One of the most durable players in the league so the lazy narratives by the dumb NY media was crap. The Mariners offered $70 million more than the Yankees. You would turn that down? Not to mention the Mariners might or probably are better set up to win in the future.

Cano hasn't been great in the playoffs. But why rings is a team stat not a player stat -- Cano hit .348/.375/.918 in the 2010 ALCS and the Yankees lost. As for A-Rod since he is on my team, it's mostly narrative for him in the playoffs. .263/.369/.464/.833 career in the playoffs Obviously, not his normal A-rod all time great stats but he isn't a bad postseason player, he's actually a good one. Of course nobody would ever know that based on media narrative.

NFL Draft mock drafts are how all this originated back in the CBS days
