Sorry UK there is nothing Pedroia does better on a baseball field than cano. He has the most beautiful swing in MLB today and has the strongest arm ive ever seen on a 2B. As for the MVP, Cano's 2010, 12 and 13 seasons were all better than Pedroia's mvp year. Cano has 4 top 5 mvp seasons

So yeah like I said narrative is only argument you can make. Baseball is unlike football or hoops. One player cannot make a big enough difference to carry a team to a championship by himself. Saying Pedroia has 1 more ring than cano makes him better is foolish.

Biggio over Kent has much more validity than pedroia over cano. You can make a good
argument for that. Pedroia over cano I don't even see an argument. Cano is a better player than Kent by a lot.

Agree to disagree. Joe Montana is always held a little higher than Dan Marino, because he won 4 Super Bowls. IMO, Marino was better. Switch them, let Marino play with Rice, Lott, Deion, Craig, etc.

As to the baseball/football argument, I disagree on that too. Starting Pitchers move the needle on who the favorite is on any baseball bet. Starting Pitcher is the most important position in major sports. If you have Trent Dilfer at QB, you can still win a Championship with a running game and Defense..... on the other hand, you can have the 90's Rangers offense, it doesn't make a shit if you have Bobby Witt on the bump

Cano is a better hitter, no question. But Cano cares more about money than winning. I remember when Pedroia was down with the leg injury, the guy was on the field, on his knees, taking hot shots so he wouldn't be rusty when he returned. Winning player my friend, and like Jeter, as clutch as they come. Nobody confuses Cano or A-Rod with clutch in the playoffs
