this one is close, team J has almost all current stars and current stars are tough to go against.

Carlos Pena batting 3rd should swing this in my direction hopefully. He is not a 3 hitter in this kind of draft. No other issues I can see though great matchup

Definetly a great matchup and we both have really strong teams IMO. But I don't see why Pena can't bat third? Gives me some power there (which is what you want) while I put my better hitters at 1,2,4,and 5

I think your 7,8,9 hitters are exceptional. But I would have hit all of them 3rd over Carlos. Why Reyes at five? Seems like his speed would be nullified behind Pena and Freeman. I absolutely love your starting pitching. If we're going off top three years Im not sure if JV and Lincicum can be topped as a combo. (Soria was the most underrated closer in baseball in KC, he was a great pick.).

Very good matchup here. Voting reflects that.

Thanks. I think I have a deep lineup where everybody can hit but I certainly don't have any Miggys in it. As for Reyes I guess he could get slowed down but Idk how often that would really be a factor and in his best season he batted .337 so I want gonna drop him too far. Healthy peak Reyes was scary.

Reyes was incredible at the top of the Mets order not too back in the day. I should have said why isn't he at the top of your order? Tough calls to make though with so many options. Nothing wrong with Jacoby and Pedy at the top, that's for sure.

Watched him face the Yankees a lot he has power but if you make your pitches you can get him out easily

Certainly not the greatest contact hitter but he can get on base and hit home runs 46 HR .411 OBP in his best year and the 3 spot isnt that important compared to a lot of other spots. And either way a batting order isn't going to make any difference in a three game series. I'm looking solely at the actual players.

You said this and I didn't believe it, but looked it up and sure enough he had a magical year in '07. It's just really hard to remember that when he's batting .209 over the last six years, and that was his only good season averages wise.

No offense but Pena is probably the worst #3 hitter in this entire dynasty playoff. I would've bat Ellsbury and Reyes 1 and 2 and then Pedroia #3.

To me Team I's lineup is 5/10. However the pitching staff is probably a 9/10

Team J's lineup is probably a 8/10. The pitching staff is a 7.5/10 maybe an 8/10

I don't like how voters immediately look at Verlander, Lincecum, Peavy and immediately say win. Let's take a look at the match ups

Verlander vs Wainwright - Verlander is the sexier name but Wainwright is every bit as good as any team's ace.

Lincecum vs Bumgarner - Advantage Timmy

Peavy vs Gray - Hard to judge this match up, because Peavy has the track record, but 2.67 and 2.79 era for Sonny Gray in his first two years. Small sample size sure so slight advantage to Peavy, but not that much of an advantage

Overall, Team I has a slight pitching advantage, but Team J has a pretty big advantage hitting wise

I don't think I have that bad of a lineup. Everybody in it can hit .290-.300+ with good obp. Still don't see why Pena at three matters either?
