Realistically, the rule is good. Players should be allowed to transfer. But why would someone go to school for 3 years, make friends not just on the team but at the school, decide to transfer, get a degree from a different school,just for the opportunity to "maybe play in a bowl game". I can see freshman who have not developed an emotional connection wanting to do so, but not a senior.

For SC it wiped out a lot of our 2 deep guys. Starters stayed, but guys who didn't think they'd be starting left, kills a team to lose that depth.
