Maybe I'm wrong for wanting Mike. I should have consulted with this guy from the comment section first....

the only remaning the guys the i think the wings could sign for some grit would be jf jaques, aaron asham, garnet exelby, and maybe dj king. holland cant be wasting money on guys like madano."

Ken Holland & Greg Kelser were in the booth at the Tigers during pregame tonight. Holland says he's trying to get Modano here as a 3rd line Center. If the price is right it won't cost the Wings a roster spot. Modano is at the game tonight in Mike Illitch's luxury box.

Modano sure looked washed up last season. Maybe he can rejuvenate his career in Detroit, but there were rumors earlier in the offseason that the Sharks were interested and based on last season, I'm glad that they did not come true. Personally, I think Modano should hang up the skates.
