Altuve has 173 extra plate appearances, and the gap in hitting isn't large enough to the point where Trout is more valuable in his shorter season.

Andrelton Simmons is having quite the year in Anaheim (or LA or wherever the fuck they're from). He's hitting a career best .304/.359/.458 (122 OPS+) to go along with his stellar defense. Both WARs are a bit divisive on him (Fangraphs has him at 4.5, BB-Ref has him at 6.0), but either of them make him one of the best players in the AL.

40 games missed is too many.. especially with an also ran team. He's just entering his prime. If he stays healthy and continues at his current level we may be heading towards something similar to the MJ or Lebron situation in hoops where they could just give it to him every year.
