Mike McCarthy Press Conference

Looks like ol’ Mike has discovered that Texas barbecue brisket and beef ribs. He has put on some pounds.

Giants have the better coach right now imo but that doesn't change the roster. The Cowboys still have the superior roster as of right now and playoff experience. I'm not saying they will win the SB or anything but they also have a lot of flexibility with their cap so they can resign their impact players, make moves, etc.

I had mentioned Mike a few weeks back, thought it would be a good fit. Not the never have won anything or no playoff experience, or college colleges that hardly ever work out

Dear Lord, what could you possibly base that on? As a Browns fan you saw that much from the Pats STs/WR coach that you have come to that conclusion? You can think McCarthy sucks and he may prove to be a great hire by the Giants, but I struggle to find any way to give you the benefit of the doubt to think this guy is better as of today

Dear Lord, what could you possibly base that on? As a Browns fan you saw that much from the Pats STs/WR coach that you have come to that conclusion? I think Rivera is a better coach, never said it was by a lot, just by a bit imo. Just bc McCarthy has a SB ring doesn't make him a better coach. He's had a lot better to work with that Rivera that is for damn sure. I think both are nice hires but again, Dallas has the much better roster so McCarthy should make an immediate impact. McCarthy is going to a better situation so I think that bodes well for him.

9-1 playoff record and has the highest playoff passer rating ever. The passer rating is especially impressive considering he played his entire career before the 1978 rule changes.
