Great news! Although Anderson is a nice guy but nice guy's finish last. VanHorn was kind of a dick...

But this begs the question of who do they go get? I don't think a baseball coach stands out like a football coach. I like Pat Casey of Oregon St. as he shows he can win with a cold weather team but I doubt they can pry him from there. It's nice to be the team looking for a coach and the opposing fans can worry for a change.

Erstad is a volunteer coach. I kind of wondered if TO got Erstad on staff so he could report back to TO with an eval of the staff. Erstad has been around alot of great coaches at the highest level of baseball. Seems he should be qualified to make an assessment. Maybe I'm totally off base but when it was announced Erstad would be a volunteer coach this is the first thing I thought.

oh, he is still a volunteer coach? i thought he was on the payroll because when I saw the team in texas he was the 1st base coach.

Yeah he's a volunteer. No money in it for him....not that he needs the money anways. It wasn't so long ago he and his wife donated a cool million to the university.

And TO just clarified on the assistants. They're still working, they're not fired. The new guy will make decisions on assistants.
