So has anyone picked it up? The reviews have been very very good. In particular their nemesis battle system is supposedly near revolutionary.

Each captain you face has it's own unique skill sets and behavior. Giant Bom's review said that one Orc Captain sing-songs his challenges to you while another grunts and clicks.

I have it on my Gamefly queue but it has low availability. I should have Metro Redux coming in the mail in a few days though. The interesting thing about Shadow of Mordor is that you can possess some of the captains and have them fight for you and if you get killed by one they rank up and have new abilities.

It definitely looks interesting. Its the type of game Id want to Redbox or Gamefly first because titles based around popular franchises miss way more often than they hit. The combat does look solid, I'll give it that.

A lot of the reviews say the combat is very fluid like the Batman games. That is basically what made me want to give it a shot on Gamefly.

It's a blast for the first couple of hours but I put it down about half way through the game because by the time you get to 50% you already have most of the cool upgrades. I just found it to be way too easy, there are a couple of chiefs who can get strong enough to be a real pain but for the most part they are pretty easy to take down.

I wish the game had difficulty settings, I usually play games on the hardest difficulty but if you're not that type of person then I'd definitely recommend it. It's a blast for the most part. Basically Assassin's Creed with the Batman Arkham combat system.

This reminds me of a game...Kingdom of Amular or something like that. Really fun single player but got old because it was too easy.

I might check it out when it gets cheap
