dude was a cancer in the clubhouse, and his skill set has declined drastically. While he was worth the hassle in his prime, there is zero reason to have him now.

Funny watching people burn bridges now years later they realize they were in a good situation and ruined it. Philly didn't work out, New England didn't put up with his nonsense and the Cowboys didn't want him back now he is trying to lobby to get back to the seahawks because we have all this cap space and are still a playoff team. I would rather we have a team full of Russell wilsons

What did they say after they left their organizations? I know I am in the minority but Ichiro and Felix have every right to say the things they about the mariners we were such a dysfunctional franchise for so long and I think Ichiro loves seattle because he does come back and do things for the organization and show face.

For whatever it's worth, I read that apparently he was very well liked by teammates. He was just a dick to the media and a PR nightmare because he's so outspoken.

Clearly he's not the player he was before, but he could be a cheap rotational option for the Seahawks. Obviously it depends on how things play out in free agency, but he could be a bargain for us and we're desperate for pass rushers.

Bennett had 6.5 sacks and 15 QB hits in 558 snaps.

In comparison:
Jadeveon Clowney: 3 sacks and 13 QB hits in 605 snaps.
Rasheem Green: 4 sacks and 5 QB hits in 546 snaps.
Brandon Jackson: 2 sacks and 3 QB hits in 418 snaps.
Ziggy Ansah: 2.5 sacks and 8 QB hits in 338 snaps.
Quinton Jefferson: 3.5 sacks and 10 QB hits in 589 snaps.

Not necessarily advocating going after Bennett - nor do I believe they will - but he could be a cheap option to complement whichever premium free agent/trade the Seahawks add through free agency.

I could tolerate Bennett when he was just saying goofy things, but it went to another level when he started to get all political in the workplace. And I still think he embellished many of the details regarding his little brush with the law in Vegas. I can see how he could bring some value to the team right now, but I think I would just rather not having to root for him again.

I am a "no" as well. I will welcome Sherman into the ROH one day. Maybe Bennett but as previous posters have pointed out, the off sides penalties on third down......
