Another one of those nights where the Heat are doing everything to lose this game -- which often means they will pull off the victory still - lets hope.

If anyone wonders why I hate McRoberts, Shooting 2 airballs in 3+ minutes is one of those reasons

Doesn't matter how low your expectations for the Heat this season are -- doesn't matter what their record currently is -- losing this game would be as embarrassing as it gets -- it would be the lowest of low.

I remember earlier in the season -- not too long ago -- how many thought he was a steal and something special after his first few games.

Sample size is important especially for young players.

Winslow not been that much better.

The Heat simply need to stick with their starters for as long as possible especially in close/crunch time situations -- its our best chance currently over the options on the bench

Winslow brings more to the table. He can make an impact even if he's not shooting well. McGruder brings nothing to the table if he's not making his shots

Yep. The team did nothing to help Whiteside tonight. Richardson was bad. Dragic was bad. Only Waiters helped

Spo has to understand that this isn't the same Heat team of years past -- sticking with your starters as long as possible is crucial -- constant mass substitutions that make little sense is just not something you will get away with anymore

Wow I'm surprise to hear you say this but it is so true.

I have no idea why Waiters and Whiteside were on the bench at the same time to start the 4th. They were the only 2 players who showed up tonight.

So much needs to go right for this team to win. The only guarantees at this moment seems to be Whiteside playing well and playing good enough defense to not get blown out.

We need all the other role players to be more consistent. I'm looking at Dragic, Tyler, Waiters, and Richardson

Your surprise surprises me as well.

Its not just the 4th quarter I am referring to - its also and even more so IMO in the earlier parts of the game. And its not just about Waiters and Hassan

Unless there is injury, the starters should be out there the great majority of the game -- unless those starters are named Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson who have provided little to nothing of late -- the rest should be out there for a good chunk of the game.

The downside, this won't be a change we see as Spo and his staff are set in their ways and thats just something we have to accept.

IMO, at least tonight, it seemed TJ was just trying too hard. The issue with Dragic IMO is often that you have to get him going early and often to make him useful -- he otherwise gets lost in the mix.

Yep and honestly I like Dragic but he needs to go. Being the 2nd man on a team isn't a good role for him. He was more suited for the role when we first acquired him which was being the 3rd guy behind Wade and Bosh. I'm all for trading him at the deadline for a draft pick or 2 if our chances of making the playoffs are slim at that point.

I know the Heat said they are working on it and it is obviously no easy task once the game starts compared to practice and warmups -- but the Heat may need to consider adding a FT specialist to the coaching staff -- I don't think its psychological yet -- nor do I believe in that stuff, but I know some do and it may get to that point for these guys if its not there already -- they have to address this issue beyond practice and shoot around.
