The Heat do some stupid things. Next, they will probably GIVE Wade a long-term deal AFTER he officially retires(finally).

In other news, Maten contract goes from two-way deal to standard, multi-year NBA contract. All this means is he will probably spend the better time of his future with the Heat warming the bench instead of being allowed to showcase his worth.

In more news, Hornets defeat the Pistons -- it moves the Heat down to the 10th seed - the Heat, deservedly, closer to elimination now.

With Wade finally gone after this season, hopefully next season they will prioritize winning along with investing in their young prospects. Both can be done.

With the Pistons win it no longer matters what the Heat do tonight. Heat officially(finally) eliminated from playoff contention. One last dance fittingly will end after 82 games.

Now the Heat can actually start an actual rebuild and retool and get back to prioritizing the future and winning.
