Again, this would be one of those good/deserved losses I mention often for the Heat - they've been lackluster in a lot of aspects and I think losing is the only way they will see the problem. When they win, they often get away with so much and they just don't learn - a loss will hopefully help them wake up and regroup to address some lingering issues. Disappointed to not have seen Ellington get any meaningful playing time - he adds a dimension that can only help the team.

Lets see if when Waiters returns as well as Goran if Wade playing is as sure a thing as the Heat have forced it to be - or if they actually have the guts to pull him when he doesn't have it -- something tells me he plays at all cost because -- one last dance.

And, no I am not being critical of him for anything regarding tonight -- He does have 17 points but could be a lot more efficient.

The Heat are putting on a clinic on how to not win a basketball game. Horrible basketball all over.

As the commentators said several times already, this is how they were playing when they went 7-13 in the first 20 games

Lets be real though, an elite team they are not - not even top 4 - they are a borderline .500 team at best -- the run they have been was great but I think they are more of a win 1, lose 2, etc type team.

They will end 2018 at 17-18, considering the injuries and other issues, I think a game under .500 for this team is right where they've earned the right to be.

Despite another frustrating loss (as the Heat manage to make every loss), it was a 9-5 month for the Heat.

Another couple days before their next game - hopefully they will address the issues that re-emerged today.

On to the January thread we go.

I agree. Thankful the East is so bad after the top 5 so being the 6th seed again seems very possible once they can play the type of basketball they played most of this month

The silver-linings after their latest bad loss - they will remain 6th seed at least through the night? Have to just take it and embrace it.

Yep at least they're not losing to bad teams lately. Losing to Toronto and Minny isn't bad. The Toronto game annoyed me more because we had control of that game most of the night. Tonight, we just played bad and Minnesota was clearly the better team.
