A dropped pass - almost an interception after an ill-advised attempt at a big play -- Fins need to focus on possession control the rest of the game instead -- for once in this game
Patsies run that play to gronk every game and it works every time. It's simple if you get a mismatch throw it. But you have to throw it high enough to get over the CB who's only 5'10 your TE is 6'6! Due to this it was a good call horrible execution. Apparently they practiced this all summer so not sure why Tanny didn't execute. This was not rushed it was second and goal...We can agree to disagree. And, at this point of the day I don't recall the entire scenario that led to that play - so I can't remember if we were in the no-huddle or not, but that would be one of the negatives:you rush the play - you have fallen in love so to speak -- with a particular target, so its easy for the defense to get an idea of where the play might go -- the entire situation was telegraphed.
I know many will want to blame Tannehill but both players have some blame there -- Tannehill for forcing the issue -- and Gesicki for not playing defense when he realized he had no shot at the play.
And, of course -- some blame to Gase for putting the team in a bad situation there with that play call.
Again, I will never get tired of saying this -- you want to play the role of tough guy with your play calling? Fine. But at some point you have to realize that playing it smart is the better way to go.

It was a root canal but they found a way to win. Even though they made mistakes I can see a lot of potential. They'll get better...
The Fins got the win. That's what is important. There is room for improvement but it's a good start.
Tanny accepted blame he said that it slipped out of his hand...who knows maybe Gesicki didn't run the right route and fell down? either way I expect to see that same play again although I'd rather see him post up instead of a fade...fade hasn't worked here in years.I am not directing this at you - just some people in general that I refer to the Tannehill haters and doubters - BUT, some times we forget that luck is a factor in the way things go. So, yeah, execution may not have been the best, etc but I think luck is as much of a factor for that not play turning out as we'd hope.
Definitely a nice start and the titans aren't a joke...although I felt that the Fins could have walked in this game if they were sharper. They also left points on the field which they simply can't afford to do. Next week will be interesting would love to slam the door shut on the jets...Looks like the Fins showed up more ready to play than the Titans. Both were not totally there but it was the 1st game in a year that most teams rested their starters in pre-season. Grats on the win against a playoff team from last year.....

Yeah no shit I hate the patsies but not even close to the Jets.... Although you guys are doing a good job of shrinking the spread!!!!Make sure their fingers are still in the door.....
