Miami Dolphins vs Kansas City Chiefs Week 14 Regular Season Game Thread

This will easily be the truest test for the Dolphins in several weeks. They really picked a bad game against the Bengals in terms of injuries and all the disciplinary crap -- luckily, they got away with not every responsible party getting ejected but lets see how the NFL handles it before this game.

The game was chippy but nothing egregious done by the Fins.

The injuries are the worst news from the day. Most of the guys came back in the game. The Flowers injury looked the most serious.

The Chiefs game is the biggest challenge this year. The Fins defense can give the team a chance if they bring their A game. Rowe will need to cover one of the best TEs in the game; Kelce. The Fins secondary will be tested by elite speed from Hill and other skilled players. Denver just showed that Mahommes can be pressured when Dlineman win individual matchups & mix in some blitzes.

Tua and the offense as a whole will need to play their best game. They will need TDs when they enter the red zone to win the game. This game wont be won by lots of FGs.

The Fins have been very good at avoiding penalties until the Bengals game. They will need to get back to their disciplined ways.

The Fins can expect the Chiefs to see if they can run right at them. They will need to show that they can stop that Oline and their talented RBs and put the Chiefs in clear passing situations.

If the Fins can build an early lead that would be ideal in this game.

Looking at the stats:

Fins have the 2nd best defense in the NFL and 16th best offense.

Chiefs have the 2nd best offense and 6th best defense.

The national consensus is the Fins can keep it close but not win. I am thinking if you are capable of playing a team close than you are capable of getting a W.

Everyone knows the Fins have a good defense led by Flores and Boyer. What they don't realize yet is that the Fins offense is no pushover. They have young developing players and underrated talented veterans. Flores believes in OC Gailey and I think he's doing a heck of a job with how the offense improved before he got here Let's go Fins!

Defense and special teams are really going to have to carry the team again. It could be a very tough day for the offense today.
