Definitely, this move was made to help groom a younger QB whether such player is acquired to trade, draft, UDFA, remains to be seen.

That being said, I would still caution those on the "tank" train -- this move DOES NOT necessarily mean that the Fins are looking to tank for draft position next draft. Fitzpatrick is up there in age -- but he is proven enough that he can/will help win games -- I don't think he signs with us otherwise.

The tank is in full effect and I'm on board for the ride. "Tank for Tua". Haven't had a real QB since Marino. It's time to be relevant again.

Should help the cause. I liked Swanson but he's probably hoping for better money after a decent season plus Kilgore C will be back after injury. Likely draft a T and G too...

Agreed. Though I think I will prefer Reed at the G position.

Apparently Quinn is in Dallas they're checking him out apparently possible trade. Hopefully get a decent pick back.

I'm not sure Tua is the best QB available for next year. Name last time a AL QB made an impact on a NFL team? they are product of system

Well if you want to play it that way. Tua is head and shoulders above every Bama QB in their most recent run. Most Bama QBs were game managers that relied on run game and defense. Tua has been putting teams away early since he took over in the 2nd half of 2016 NC. Everyone entitled to their own opinion, but to me between this year and next Tua is the best QB available. Now if this rebuild goes another year, gimme Lawrence all day.

First, to address some of the stupidity posted on here - brought to us by Cheatriots trolls, as usual. Really, its an idiotic assumption that anyone could make.

The idea that adding Fitzpatrick signals the Fins are tanking is beyond retarded.

Fitzpatrick may not be H.O.F./Pro Bowl material, but the guy has been around for as long as he has for a reason.

The guy is among the best minds and game-managers in the league. The way he carries himself is exactly what a team going through a rebuild needs -- that is why I was not mad when he was the pick in our QB search.

If the Fins were truly tanking they would've given the job to any one of the QBs currently on the roster before Fitzpatrick was added(no disrespect to either of those two young guys with potential).

It may end up being a bad season after all for the Fins, but they are surely not going to have such season on purpose -- This is why games are ultimately decided on the field. Stats go out the window once the ball is kicked off. What matters less is the baseless opinions of idiot fans.

Fins up, bitches!

I like the way that the Fins are stock piling 2020 draft picks. There will be a lot of them and they should be early picks. The team can try their best to win but it will take time for the players to develop & the coaches to develop their system. They also will have a huge amount of salary cap space next year.

I think the Fins should be taking a close look at the AAF players that are now available.

"The Dolphins, who were dead last in the rankings, recently signed 36-year-old veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick after trading away former starter Ryan Tannehill to the Tennessee Titans. Luke Falk and Jake Rudock — who have a combined five career passing attempts in the NFL — are the only other quarterbacks on the roster."

Southieinnc,

Do you have any idea how obsessed you are with the Dolphins? You post on here every day. It's actually getting beyond weird. They aren't even your favorite football team.

Southieinnc,

You have dedicated your life to spreading negativity to strangers from another team on a sports forum. Do yourself and everyone a favor and find something more meaningful to do with your time.

The Fins added Olineman Michael Dunn from the AAF. I like the addition. There is familiarity with him from his time with the Jags. Dunn has some versatility to his game and he is still young. He has a chance to grow with the team.

Doesn't hurt to take a look... and yes southie is Fins stalker. Yet if any of us post anything on the NFL board we're out of control... you have to love the patsies.
