Pre-season is upon us. Time to see what this team is going to be about this season. Hopefully, the Dolphins can find their QB this pre-season - hope to see a lot of Jacoby.

On the Xavien Howard situation, I am glad that nonsense is over. It's unfortunate one of our best players and leaders turned into such a diva. I am not arguing his worth as a player -- we all know what he is worth and capable of, especially when healthy. That being said, to have held the team hostage for more money after getting a massive contract just a season ago and then claiming he didn't fully understand what he was signing last season is idiotic. Then his agent had the audacity of trying to play nice by praising the organization AFTER they got what they wanted - even though Howard was beyond critical of the team throughout. The team then made another dumb move by bending over backwards to rescind his fines for not showing up to camp.

He better continue to play at the same level or higher now.

I hear you.
Of note, per CBA they cannot rescind his fines.

Tua with a great pass to Gesicki. It was perfect placement on the pass. Gesicki with a nice run after the catch. Fins up 3-0 after some run stopping plays by the Bears defense. The Oline pass blocked well on the drive.

Lots of accurate throws (7 in a row so far) and good pocket presence and mobility by Tua.

Brown running hard, Gaskin with a nice run for the first down. Tua had a check down receiver but forced the ball into double coverage for an INT.

Fins with some great punt returns. Primarily Grant and that's how it should be. Waddle also is an excellent returner.

Nice run blocking with Ahmed gaining yards. Brissett is playing well. The Fins have controlled the time of possession but have been held to FGs.

Fins defense has been great in this game. Lots of 3 and outs for the Bears.

Close game going into the 4th . Not surprised that the Dolphins most productive Fins QB today was.... Jacoby Brissett. Fear not, Tua fans, ever since Ryan Fitzpatrick got the job stripped from under him for no reason, it became apparent that Flores and the Dolphins arent interested in playing the QB that gives the Dolphins the best chance to win -- instead, they want Tua. So, no matter how much better the other guys will play, he will be GIVEN the job again.

Costly fumble for the Dolphins early. Saw some good things on both sides of the ball. We need to see more Jacoby next time. Sinnett made some good throws when he was out there but lots of drops.

Brisset was pretty good but remember he was playing against backups. Tua was against a very good number one D group. Also missing some key receivers so overall he did pretty well.

The D was stellar especially without X and Jones very impressive.

FlyerFinFan, your comment is way to logical/rational for the discussion. Tua led long drives against the starters on an excellent defense. If the Fins capitalize with TDs the game isn't close. The Fins need to work on the run game but the Bears Dline is no joke. Tua will learn from his mistake.

The Fins defense were missing their two best CBs yet didn't give up a first down in the half. It was very impressive.

In preseason what happens when the starters play matters the most and the Fins won the day even if nationally there is a different narrative.

The game was shitty enough to use as a teachable / coachable moment. It was good enough to see a lot of positive things.
What we know about Tua after game? He is still learning and probably improving. It is preseason game #1
Nothing to get too negative nor too positive about.
Very little play in pads so far. Lots more to happen!
But Hey, we got football!

I think the point is that the Fins starters beat up on the bears starters. To me that's more important than the 2nd half cut guys duking it out.
