I hope he is a good stable coach ... it's fun when both Michigan and Michigan State are good ... and both beat ohio state (we haven't done our part lately).
Neither of you have. MSU is only 3-13 against OSU this century. You did both have 2011, at least.

Too long ago, and ohio state was a mess that year, so it doesn't really count. I may hate ohio state but the truth is they have dominated us for quite a while (I can argue with a call, but the final scores are what they are).

I don't think it will matter unless someone comes out with a new camera angle we haven't seen. OSU fans and michigan fans will argue over the spot for decades, even though no side can definitively prove without a doubt that they're right. I love this rivalry. We're all so petty.

I agree ... but after all the bitching and whining (and in my case - visits to the shrink) the only thing that matters is the final score!!

I'm sure you can understand why I prefer we just keep up the current trend from the last couple of years so we don't have to boil it down to 1 play

:D

For the past ten years in the B1G, who's been a bigger thorn in the side for the Buckeyes than Sparty?

Did Sparty offer and Fickell turn down the same package that Tucker accepted?

That's a shit ton of cash. Almost doubled what he made at CU

The local news mentioned Michigan State also doubled his assistant coaches salaries. Now some are hoping Eric Bieniemy leaves K.C. & takes the CU job. If he does that would be a major step backwards for him.

All the people ripping him apart are children. I'm sure this was something he didn't feel great about doing, but he had a chance to go to a higher-caliber program in a better conference paying him over $2m more a year, and he got to be closer to his family. There isn't a single person out there who are feigning outrage that wouldn't have done the same.

I would leave my job yesterday if some company wanted to double my salary for the same position, at a more prestigious company. No doubt about it. I do feel for the kids, but I'm hoping they can get released from their letter of intent, and transfer somewhere.

College football is big business, and these kids need to start understanding that. I'm not saying they shouldn't trust their coaches, but they need to know - especially at these non-elite programs - that if you have a talented coach, the big boys are going to come calling, and they're probably going to be able to offer a lot more than your school can. I absolutely feel for the players, and if they want to transfer they should have no hindrance whatsoever.

$400,000 bonus is paid regardless? If so, it is really just base salary by another name.

Heard a discussion regarding this on XM yesterday. I personally think they should be allowed to if the coach that signed them leaves like this. Players are leaving and getting to play for lesser reasons IMHO.

Yeah I'd be curious if there is any information out there that gets into the average stay for a coach at the D1 level? If I had to guess I'd say it's probably less than 4 years, so you're right, kids should probably understand coming into things that the coach you sign with might not be there when you graduate.

That'd be my guess. And that he gets the $400K every year.

If I were Bienemy I wouldn't take the CU gig. He's gotta be one year away from getting a HC job in the NFL at this point. I was surprised he didn't this off-season.
