MBBRL baseball dynasty attempt 2

so we have tried before, and it didnt work out for whatever reasons.... But now, with many of us losing some leagues, we are interested in another attempt...

Nothing is set as of today... There are no league rules... No commisioner, no nothing....

But we need to start pushing this if we want it to happen...

First off we need to find at least 12 owners(if we find only 10, then we will talk about the potential idea of making it AL or NL only)…

the website will most likely be fantrax… its what we are used to around here... But things may change when we go to the next step....

I'm really not all that into baseball. I may be available to fill in for the draft if someone can't make it or if you have a vacant team or something, but I wouldn't keep up with it during the season.

I know I said I am in but I am hoping to do better this season.. I am still waiting to see if one of my leagues is going to have a exodus from one league and starting our own

I’ve never done a NL or AL league. Nor do I have interest in them. I’d prefer a huge roster for smaller leagues.

a 9 team league sounds baseball-ish.
(I’d rather 9 dedicated owners than 12+ with three or more being a side plate).

start
6 SP, 3 RP
2 C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, MI, CI, 5 OF, 2 UTIL (maybe split UTIL into one IF, one OF?)
...and big benches.

Play two opponents each week.
Each month would be the full 8 opponents.

Or play three games a week with a 10 team league and have the full cycle every three weeks.

Hit -0.25 points (any hit against, single->HR)
IP 0.5 points
QS 2.5 points
W 3.5 points
SO 3.5 points
Run -1 point (earned or not)
L -2.5 points

Perfect game with 10 K’s = 24

Just going to throw this out there. I would prefer 12, but just look at FF this past year. We had 1 person that was not playing in MBBRL. In years past if we had a person not playing they were replaced. This year that team was just left there. We had to ask people to fill the final spots, in the past people were lining up for the league. Baseball is harder to get strong people playing then football. I am with @TKOSpikes in that we should try more for 10 strong people over 12 that may or may not play.

don’t get me wrong. If we can’t find 12 then whatever. We will go with what we have. But we should definitely try to get to at least 12.

not sure if I agree that 10 good owners is better than 12 with 2 bad owners.
Hopefully we won’t find out. And we just get 12 good owners.

i do think if we have only 10 though we need to do something extreme to make rosters more fun. Whether it is AL/NL only or whatever.

I am sure with all of us we can make this a creative and fun league.

i dont like the AL/NL only just make the rosters bigger and seperate lf/cf/rf

i like the 3 day h2h schedule but might be a nightmare to figure out and not sure any site does this

scoring doesnt matter to me unless u have players having too many negative points days

btw im not interested if its money league

I have a guy who would be a good add to the dynasty league. He has never been on the chat rooms but will get involved if we want him.
