I don't get it. Is he a complete idiot at practice. The guy hasn't even been given a chance and he plays on the Raiders. What gives?

Heh with the money Flynn has received doing almost nothing he should try his hand at Wall Street or run for office.

Its not easy to find suckers like the seahawks over and over again...

Still surprised Flynn was cut and that he played so poorly. When the rumors about the Seahawks signing him were out there I watched every snap Flynn played and thought that he could be a solid game manager. He's no play maker but looked to me like he could be an Alex Smith type player.

I think part of it has to due with him being on the Raiders. I did not catch the game but he was sacked 7 times, I'm not sure how you're going to perform too well under so much pressure.

Pyror is obviously a better fit due to his mobility but I don't see how cutting Flynn benefits the Raiders as they still have to pay him and now the backup is a UDFA.

After some thought I have decided (of my own mind) that after Pryor came back Sunday night and rallied the team, the FO decided it was time to let him know this team is his in no uncertain terms. If you didn't see Flynn against the 'skins it might be difficult to determine, but it was easy to see Sunday night that TP makes the players around him better, and the entire offense seems to rally around him and play at a higher level, he connects really well with his receivers, and they are hanging on to balls they may have alligator armed previously. His speed and potential to run help the Oline tremendously, and he is keeping his head up and working through his progressions as he moves in the backfield. It looks to me like he has worked very hard to improve his passing and ball handling skills, and he deserves to be handed the keys to the Oakland machine.

Keeping him healthy will be critical, and I think the team will be on the lookout for a more suitable backup.

I don't get why Oakland wouldn't want to keep him as a Backup? Is it a money thing, do they save a lot by releasing him? Who else does Oakland have that can backup?

I said it after the Bronco game that I thought TP could be a pretty decent starter for them. Obviously he's one read and run like Kap was last year. The big thing will be can he learn to read a defense and hit through his progressions. He's got the athletic ability to be mentioned with the young guns in the league now.

PS: The Flynn trade made sense for oak I thought at the time. They didn't really know what Pryor could do, and in the grand scheme of oakland trades, Flynn for a 6 isn't anywhere near the top 10 bone head front office moves for them.

Has anyone ever gotten more money based entirely on their performance in 1 regular season game?

No...Brian Bosworth made a nice sum off a few good games in college, but Flynn takes the cake.
