Extension.... Hmmm, not sure how much I like this. He is clearly the least able O lineman.

Agreed, the weakest link, but of what as become a solid OL. And signing him may signal going with another position when Pace makes his first (aka 3rd rd) pick.

Massie is not bad; he is tied for third fewest sacks allowed last season in the NFC and he is only getting better. He played every game last season and did a solid job. This was a good signing.

Most tackles are a liability. We have a real good one in Leno and a decent one in Massie. Continuity is big on the O-line as well. I am more than fine with this. Although, I'd like to see the numbers.

Even if we don't bring Long back. That's still keeping together the unit that started most of their games together last year. I think we could draft another OG in the mid-rounds as well.

The 2nd and a 4th to move back into the 2nd. Basically like... what? 20 picks up? That was a big price for Miller - we really wanted him.

I love Miller, though and can't wait to see him in year #2. Not to mention, without a shoulder that came out of its socket 6 times in his rookie season. Yet, still caught 7 TD's and had respectable yardage.

This is a suprise to say the least. Not just extending him but for the money we did. We must be planning on parting ways with Long or get him to take a paycut, what with a Whitehair extension needed soon as well.

He becomes the 5th highest paid RT in the league. Coward was always a bench body. I hope Massie keeps this performance up.

No complaints from the o-line, save fer I'm kinda sick of Long.

I'm not up on the salary cap implications like some of you guys are. But assuming Pace can do this, I'd like to see Long's salary renegotiated. He's had too many injury bugs over the past few years to pay him like a consistent 16 game starter. I wouldn't like to cut him outright tho because when he IS healthy, he's pretty damn good.

Sure, but he'll also turn 31 next season and a guy with that kind of an injury history on the wrong side of 30? Meh...

I like him a lot and get where you're coming from. I'm just sort of indifferent, I guess. If we bring him back? Cool, I'll be happy - he's a leader and has been a solid player. If not? I totally get it and support that move as well.

Yeah, I pretty much feel the same way, perhaps leaning a bit more on the retaining him side....but again, I think his salary needs to be renegotiated. Otherwise, I'd be completely in line with his release.

Consistency on the o-line is a good thing. Nobody really stood out as being bad, so that's a plus. Massie's a good guy. I appreciate his immediately walking over and consoling Parkey. That's my kind of teammate. Too bad that douchenozzle's reaction just after was to point to the sky like somebody who hit a home run, but that's another story.

I think I'm leaning towards us re-signing Amos rather than Callahan...as it appears we can only keep 1 based on the cap.
