Wilks is just the interim HC. While he might get the permanent HC job, he doesn't have it yet. They're gonna go through rounds of interviews and reportedly already spoken with Harbaugh.

I don't know how it works from going from pro to college or vice-versa. But I wouldn't think that there would be off-set contract rules going from the NFL to the NCAA. At the very least, Carolina owes him something. And then he is taken care of by Nebraska on the back end.
