nah.. both ford and marshall are FA at the end of the year.. this was a deadline deal to help the phantoms, and the flyers apparently weren't planning on signing marshall in july

that's my guess anyway

Marshall had a chance and blew it. He was never going to make it. I liked him but he jut did not progress.

This actually pisses me off. Although he was not in the Flyers plans, he should have had more value than a career AHL Guy. This makes me think that a larger deal is not in the works as Marshall should have had value to be a piece of a trade.
