There is a rumor going around that Marcus Marriota might change his mind. We will all officially know by January 15 - the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL. If he comes out - it strengthens the Rams' draft position immeasurably!

So I'm rooting for Oregon to beat Texas by 50pts? Sounds fine by me

Does it improve their leverage? That will likely push a QB down in the first round. It would take a team specifically wanting Marriota (or Bridgewater, if Marriota overtakes him) to improve their leverage.

It improves our leverage to have more desirable QB's available if the Redskins win and we move down from the #2 draft spot.

First off Oregon will drill Texas in the bowl game.

2nd, if Marriota does come out and the Rams have a top 2 pick, they will have a very interesting decision to make.

Marriota must be smart enough to realize he could possibly be the #1 pick in this years draft, because next year he will be behind Jameis Winston.

I might be inclined to take MM with the No. 2 pick this year rather than trade away!

Who and what are you talking about Red? I'm confused.

Jameis Winston would go #1 overall this year but cannot leave until next year. So if Marriota stays, he's still not going to be #1 next year.. Unless injury of course

I have a weird feeling Marriota will change his mind. And if we have the number 2 pick, do you take Bridgewater or MM?

According to Brian Billick, Fisher has informed him that Bradford is the Rams QB and they are not entertaining even taking a QB with the number 2 pick if that occurs. If all of this is true, we will either take Matthews at 2, trade down and take Wadkins, Kouandijo, and/or Barr but no QB according to Brian Billick.

I would be shocked if the Rams take a QB period. Any round. Bradford is their guy. and we have a solid backup in Clemens. I think they will continue to put talent around Bradford. I don't know why Fisher would come out and say it though you might want another team that needs a QB to think you might take a QB.

Yea Cougar. A lot of this could be postering by Fisher who is renown for not giving away his hand this early or at all before any draft.
