TBH I think this is just a Marlins and Jeter problem. Why is every other team pretty much safe and these guys can't stay clean. Already a terrible franchise that now has a terrible owner and they just can't stay away from getting CoV1D. Like once one or two guys were infected did they all just go to the public bathrooms and start licking toilet seats. This makes the Marlins looks worse than they already do and it starts with upper management having absolutely no control.

Everyone seems to be on edge now bc of the Marlins but just don't be stupid and careless, test everyday. The team probably went to a ghey strip club and Jeter set it up.

A really telling quote was something I read last week in a Q/A with Jeff Passan. He said most players he talked to were not worried about travel/hotel/different cities they all felt that the team could reasonably avoid exposure. He said guys legit concerns were...

"Young horny guys using tinder while on the road to try and meet up with random girls".

Literally.

At least his was understandable. Catching Covid-19 while getting a lap dance and being fine is better optics than catching it bar hopping and being fine.

We need them to pad our record, but really, they offer nothing. Their in state foes face the same challenges they do and play in a tougher division, but they manage to be competitive most every year

Agreeing or disagreeing with covid protocols is irrelevant in this situation imo. If your a professional who agrees to participate in whatever the job may be, you follow guidelines in place. Those guidelines are there to protect employees, patrons and ultimately the business.

There was an article a few years back about NBA teams playing better on the road these days. One coach said that tinder helps because the players don't need to go out to the clubs to meet random women anymore.
