Marlin 375 lever action

Anyone own one of these? I just bought one from my brother. Ammo is hard to find over the counter. Almost have to buy it exclusively on line.

I already have a Winchester 30-30 lever action. Can't have too many lever action rifles.

I have a Glenfield Model 30, which was made by Marlin in 1969. Supposed to be a cheaper version made with a lesser wood furniture that was sold in Sears and Otasco. Anyway, mine shoots great and was my main hunting rifle until 5 years ago. Took my 2nd largest whitetail buck with it. Yours should be a great shooter. Ammo is at every Walmart here in the South!

$475. But, it was my brother's. He cut me a deal because family and all. I think he could have gotten $650 for it. And it came with 40 rounds which is running at about a $100 value.

BTW, the picture in the rifle isn't mine, it's just the same as the one I bought.

Mine sold at auction for 400,but with no ammo.

I google my Dads gun,my Mother bought it for him as a wedding present in 1960.....
It was made in Conneticutt,into which they moved the factory to Texas awhile back......
The ol'man may never of shot it unless it back in the 60s,I norn in 62,and dont ever remember him shooting it in the 70s on.....

According to Google tjose guns sell between 500 to 800$ and over a 1k if you have the box and sling.....which I did not.
So you definetly got a deal.....and I got jobbed....lol

I live in the very blue state of Washington. No one sells the ammo here. Not Cabela's nor Bass Pro nor Sports Warehouse. Nobody.

Beautifully made rifle, but definitely not $400-$600 anymore.

From what I know the 38-55 caliber, being an old caliber, can still be found and is a complimentary round for the 375.

I had a 444 marlin, great gun, found little difference with the 45-70 both Marlin. The difference is the 45-70 is a government issued caliber which means it will never disappear from production
